• Not completed the age of fifty years.

Qualification

• A person shall not be qualified for appointment as Technical Member unless he is a person of ability, integrity and standing having special knowledge of, and professional experience of, not less than twenty-five years in matters dealing with electricity generation, transmission, distribution, regulation, economics, business, commerce, law, finance, accountancy, management, industry, public affairs, administration or in any other matter which is useful to the Appellate Tribunal.
• Provided that a person who has not completed the age of fifty years shall not be eligible for appointment as a Member.
• The qualification, eligibility, salary and other terms and conditions of the appointment of a candidate will be governed by the provisions of the Tribunals Reforms Act, 2021 and Tribunal (Conditions of Service) Rules, 2021, including amendments thereof.
